The Latest Dirt

Xandi has been as busy as ever. I am grateful for all that he does for our family and how hard he works. Work has been good for him. We were able to attend a recognition dinner last week for all the managers at Fidelity and he was given a special award for his work with special projects throughout the year. It was a good surprise for him that he wasn't expecting, plus, free food! He also has been super dedicated since the beginning of the year with his workouts and eating better and is starting to feel a lot healthier. Keeping that diabetes away is a full time job!

Stacy has been on the mend filling her day will BBC marathons and PBS specials since the begging of 2014 but all things good must come to an end and has since returned to a new work position at the Riverton Hospital. She hates change and is being quite stubborn in her attitude. She hopes that improves soon :)

Gavin has had a busy year so far and is just realizing that he wont be getting a break anytime soon. He has filled his days either preparing for man pageants, getting ready for prom and running for prom king, competing in choral competitions, meeting with his bishop and getting ready to turn in his mission papers, or attending mission prep classes, all on top of school and seminary council. Busy is good!!!

Sophie has been tending a ton! She will never need a real job because she is always turning down more tending jobs than she could take. She is such a great girl and she is so good with the kiddos. She has been driving a lot and is getting more comfortable and gaining more confidence behind the wheel. She is doing great in school as always and has already picked her classes for her junior year. Ahhhh!

Grayson has decided to hang up his soccer cleats and try something new. After trying out for the high school soccer team he did a lot of praying and pondering whether or not he really wanted to do the whole busy soccer thing. He ended up turning down the invitation and has felt a great weight lifted off of his shoulders. He is thinking of trying out for the swim team later in the year and with all the AP classed he wants to take next school year he is grateful for his decision. I am grateful that he can follow his heart.

Delanie has been feeling sad lately. After having two of her best friends move away she is feeling very alone. She has had a tough year with the loss of her grandparents not that long ago and I can see how it has really effected her. I see it in every aspect of her life. Grief is hard. Losing loved ones and friends is hard. Learning how to be a better friend to those that aren't always nice to you is hard. Fourth grade is hard. Life is hard. Summer can't get here fast enough for my Lanie Bug and I will welcome the break for her.

Gentry is a new scout this year and he has a mother that can never remember when scouts is! He loves it when we remember and loves whipping out his book to work on stuff. He has his armful of friends that he can choose from ("it isn't fair"-Delanie) and is always playing with one of the guys. He comes home from school and gets all his homework done first thing. He is very busy being a kid and playing his heart out. He is super excited about being tall enough to ride on the Sentential Screamer when we go to Disneyland and is so excited about getting to snorkel for the first time in the ocean.
