Birthday Dinner

We have thoroughly enjoyed the tradition Xandi's parents have had of taking their birthday kids out to dinner. We get great food and great company all at the same time. It's so fun to catch up and spend a fun evening together and so appreciate the relationships we have.

Here is the big birthday boy with his cute mom and dad. The oldest of eight pretty great kids but even with that, these people here are saints!

Chillin' with the Grandparents

For the past 12 or so years we have had the awesome opportunity to go up to Park City every Summer and spend some quality time with grandma and grandpa Schmalz and the rest of the Schmalz bunch. My kids so look forward to this fun tradition and count down all summer until Park City. This year was especially nice even though we didn't get to have Gavin with us the entire time with his work commitments and seminary council activities that he couldnt miss out on, and we missed him, but we loved it still just for the fact that we could get away. We can just chalk missing Gavin up to great practice for what seems to be coming much faster than we are realizing. We sooooooo needed this little getaway this year, more than ever before, and getting some time and making memories was just what the doctor ordered. Today our travels took us to the
