When I think of Grand Cayman, I will always think of chickens! Sure it was sunny, hot, and had beautiful beaches, but the thing that will always stand out in my memory is chickens. We even brought home a print that a local artist painted of a rooster. Wherever you are on the island, in almost every yard, and even on the beach, there are chickens.
We started the day off with a bicycle tour around part of the island. We took a route that we really felt like we got a taste of how the locals live, and we got to ride a long the beach which was beautul and breezy..
Our first stop was the Turtle Farm. We got to see and hold Giant Green Sea Turtles. It was an awesome sight.
Next stop on our bike tour was a rum store to sample all the booze... We opted to people watch and eat some local food. Homemade hot pockets. I can't remember what they called them but they weren't Hot Pockets. Xandi chose chicken, and I got the beef. They were yummy going down, but that choice proved to be a bad one later in the day for Xandi. He got very familiar with the ships toilet. Poor guy. We should have stuck with the booze!
We ended our bike tour in HELL!
For real. Hell, Grand Cayman
Then we hit the beach for some snorkeling. My favorite part of the day!
Then we headed back to the ship for a nice long shower and a nice long nap. Two of my favorite things after a fun filled day!
